Apprentice jockey Chris Geoghegan was seen to good effect when getting up in the closing stages to win The Ashbourne Apprentice Handicap aboard the Joanna Morgan trained La Petite Bleue

Morgan said afterwards, "She's a very well bred German Filly from a late maturing family. The ground went against her the back end of last year, she wants fast ground and I was a little concerned this evening after the rain. She's entered in Ballinrobe on Monday and she may go there even though I've a lot of entries in the race."
