Gate battles back for Walsh
Dooneys Gate rallied gamely to land the spoils in the Foxrock Handicap Chase at Leopardstown.
Ruby Walsh 's mount had led from halfway but was headed after the second last.
He found more from the final fence, however, to get back up on the run-in and score by a length-and-quarter from Show Blessed
"I didn't give much for his chances after jumping the last," admitted trainer Willie Mullins.
"He disappointed in the Paddy Power and I said that I'd bring him back in trip which seems to have worked.
"We'll probably campaign him at less than three miles. He's a half-brother to The Listener and I thought he was an out-and-out stayer."
