Gary Carroll got Tom Dooley there just in time to land the opening www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap.
Carroll had to switch out to get a run on Michael Mulvany's gelding and in the end it was by a head and a short head that he prevailed over Enigma Code (around 8s this morning into 7/2 favourite on debut for Denis Hogan) and Suburban Sky
Mulvany said: "He played him late anyway! He has to be ridden that way. We've found a way to ride him and he's consistent when you ride him that way.
"He travelled well at Leopardstown but the ground beat him. He might turn out next week in Cork if he gets good ground and the handicapper isn't too hard on him."
