Recent Limerick winner Really Unique almost joined the winner as they entered the straight but Lookoutnow pulled out more and ran on gamely to land the spoils by a length and a half.
5/1 shot Dr Proctor finished a further length and three parts back in third for the father and son team of Pat and Tony Kelly while Pampered Jack completed the placings for Shane Buggy a further eight and a half lengths back in fourth at 25/1. Dbanks who was backed from his opening show on course of 7/1 into 9/2 favourite disappointingly pulled up for his trainer Eamonn Fehily with Davy Russell aboard.
Winning rider Michael Butler said afterwards: "Eoin (Doyle) is at a county final today. This fellow loved the ground and I’d imagine he will go for something similar next."
