The ground at Galway is Yielding to Soft on both the National Hunt and Flat courses following a dry night.
The forecast is for a dry weekend.
Racing on the penultimate day of the festival gets under way at 2pm with the first of eight races on a mixed card.
Plenty of bookmakers report interest in Shark Hanlon 's Camlann in the extended mile and three handicap at 4.10pm.
The seven-year-old gelding, who won over a mile and a half in Ballybrit on Thursday, is 5/2 from 4/1.
