Willie Mullins bagged ten winners at last week's Galway festival and that meeting's leading trainer today sent out his first winner since as Hybery justified 13/8 favouritism to win the opening Boro Maiden Hurdle at Wexford today.
Jockey Paul Townend sent the French bumper winning son of Centennial to the front with a circuit to race and in the end the pair scored an easy 10 lengths win over Master Artist
Mullins hasn't mustered the necessary enthusiasm to attend a behind-closed-doors meeting yet and following the race Townend stated “it probably wasn't the strongest maiden hurdle and he was ready. He had a couple of okay runs last season.
“A couple of those runs would have been good enough today and they were. He probably didn't handle heavy winter ground and this summer ground is probably a bit better for him."
