Galileo-sired, Coolmore-bred Sanosuke gained a first win at the sixth attempt at Tramore today as the Fozzy Stack trained colt landed the Core Bullion Traders Rated Race under jockey Mark Enright.
Out of New Zealand Group 2 winning mare Fix, Sanosuke today improved to lead in the closing stages and beat Right Turn by a length and a quarter.
Enright, who rode seven jumps winners at today's venue before switching to the flat this year, later stated “he beat Ger Lyons' horse (Right Turn) by half-a-length when they met at Killarney and they were meeting on the same terms today. He deserved that.
"He was a bit keen and it just took him a little bit of time to adjust to the track. He was a little bit in my hands and I just kept him off the chopped up ground.
“He kept at it well and it's great to get a win to his name. I'm delighted to win for Fozzy because he is looking after me well."
