Gale Strongest in Kilfeacle
Good ground is obviously important to Dual Gales and he left two poor efforts behind him to turn over the favourite, Total Excitement at odds of 14/1 in the Kilfeacle Maiden Hurdle.
A mistake at the last didn't help the market-leader but David Casey's mount proved the stronger on the run-in to prevail by a length and a half.
Unusually for a horse from the Willie Mullins yard, this Lord Of Appeal gelding's only previous success also came at a big price, 20/1 when scoring in a Listowel bumper in September 2007.
Niall Almond, stable representative, said: "I have this job for the week and we've had five winners! He'll stay hurdling until the end of the season. Willie is on his way here."
