Gal scores for Carroll and Halford
Gary Carroll teamed up with boss Michael Halford to score with Gali Gal in the 1m2f fillies maiden at Dundalk.
The Galileo filly got to the front from Hildor inside the final furlong and held the determined challenge of the other 9/4 joint favourite by half a length.
"It's my first winner for the owner (Geraldine Lynch Burke), who is from Dublin," revealed Halford.
"She's a nice filly and loves this surface. She was entitled to win a maiden and we'll probably go handicapping now with her.
"She is getting better with racing and hopefully will be kept in training next year."
