Having been the 6/4 favourite overnight, Tullybeg (7/2) defied market weakness to readily land the Extra Places On The BoyleSports App Hurdle.
On his first start for six months, the Sholokhov gelding led after three out and wasn’t hard pressed to account for Archies Charm (8/1) by seven lengths.
Owned by Noel and Valerie Moran, the winner had been successful in a Bellewstown bumper and Downpatrick maiden hurdle before his winter break.
Winning rider Jordan Gainford, completing a double for himself and trainer Denise Foster after Don Diablo in the opener, said: "His form had been marvellous and he did it very well. He took me there well and I didn't have to ask him many questions. He jumped and did everything.
"He'll come on loads from that run as well. He is going that direction (through the grades) but I'm sure the lads will have a plan for him.
"It's a privilege to get these opportunities on these horses and I'd like to thank the owners and trainers for looking after me."
