Champion Jumps Trainer Willie Mullins registered his second flat winner of the season when his Laviniad completed jockey Pat Smullen's Gowran double today, in the Gowran Park Handicap.
Mullins' previous flat winner this term was Wicklow Brave at the same venue and while he wasn't present for Laviniad's second career winner today, Smullen did later stated "they went very hard and she dropped the bridle -that's very important to her as she's a bit fussy and odd.
"She handled the ground but it's in lovely condition and you'd have to be a real soft ground horse not to like that."
