Fun Fun Fun made all for an easy win in the opening mares beginners chase, leading home a one-two-three for Willie Mullins.

The Martaline mare was making her first start since pulling up in Grade 1 company over timber at Punchestown in late April.

Patrick Mullins bounced out in front on the seven-year-old, who went to post a 7/2 shot in the two-and-a-half mile contest. Majestic Force briefly tackled the front-runner turning for home but cried enough before the second last.

Fun Fun Fun popped the last two and didn’t have to come off the bridle to record a seven-and-a-half length success. Karia Des Blaises stayed on to finish second with another stablemate, Iris Emery back in third.

Fun Fun Fun, bred by the winning rider, was a Grade 2 bumper winner and Grade 3 winner over hurdles.

Mullins senior said of Simon Munir and Isaac Souede’s charge:-

“She jumped well for a mare having her first run. She jumped the fifth last very well and got two lengths there which changed the race.

“The (Listed) Opera Hat (Chase) back here next month could be a possibility.

“Karia Des Blaises jumped indifferently which left her with too much to do but she’ll get her turn.

“Irish Emery ran a cracker.”

Both Paddy Power and Betfair made the winner a 16/1 shot (from 25/1) for the Mares’ Chase at Cheltenham.
