Following on from Day Dreamin’at Leopardstown and Ela Katrina here earlier, Colin Keane made it three on the day aboard Crystal Dawn in the second divide of the 45 to 65 HOLLYWOODBETS Handicap at Dundalk.
Day Dreamin’ was for Tony Martin, Ela Katrina for Keane’s boss Ger Lyons, and the hat-trick was accomplished for Gavin Cromwell on Crystal Dawn.
Keane is six in front of Shane Foley (87 — 81) after getting strong favourite, the up in trip Crystal Dawn, home by a length.
A patient Keane delivered the Cromwell runner from off the pace in the straight. Tipperary Moon did best of the rest, a length off in second.
“They went a good gallop which probably suited us,” said Keane.
“For a filly that had been running over shorter she relaxed very quick for the gallop we went. She travelled into it well and picked up well when she got there in the last furlong.
“She went to the line and on that surface she might even get another furlong. Hopefully there is more to come.”
