Trainer Jimmy Barcoe enjoyed an excellent result in the (80-95) handicap hurdle as Frazel Express (15/2) led home stablemate Allez George
Cathal Landers’ mount led travelling well on the run to two out and went away to score by nine lengths. Kristain Goingwell was a further three and a half lengths away in third.
Both of Barcoe’s runners competed off the basement rating of 80 and the ten-year-old winner, a daughter of Grand National-winning sire Yeats, had recorded her only previous success back in 2016 when winning a bumper at this venue under Katie Walsh.
Gowran-based Barcoe said: “She had a good run the last day in Naas and came out of it well. Her jumping was very good today and the extra half-mile suited her well.
“Donagh (Meyler) was happy with the other horse (Allez George) the last day and was eager to ride him again and he was right. It’s a great day.”
