Foxy Jacks makes the breakthrough
Foxy Jacks and Phillip Enright did well to survive this bad final flight mistake

Foxy Jacks got off the mark at the eleventh time of asking and in the process justified 3/1 favouritism in the I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle at Punchestown.
The mount of Phillip Enright, the successful Fame And Glory gelding gave connections and backers a serious fright with a bad final flight mistake.
He had been looking good in front at that stage and in fairness to the Dermot Desmond-owned and Mouse Morris-trained six-year-old he dug it out well on the run-in to defeat Eklat De Rire by a length and three parts.
“It’s not before his time but he got one eventually. He ran on well after the mistake at the last and would appreciate a bit further on a bit better ground,” said Morris.
“I’ll find something for him over three miles and I’d say he’s crying out for fences.”
P.J. Cawley, rider of Lou Trek (FR) trained by Patrick G.Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel during this race.
S.D. Torrens, rider of Not So Simple trained by Norman Lee, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left during this race.
Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Attitash trained by S.J. Treacy, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.
