He Can’t Dance rounded off another big day for Gordon Elliott at Navan when landing prohibitive odds in the Skryne GAA Day Out At Navan Racecourse INH Flat Race to complete a four-timer for the trainer.
The grey son of Jukebox Jury was purchased for 300,000 pounds after winning a point-to-point at Monksgrange and was the subject of favourable reports in recent weeks being sent off the 2/9 favourite here against six rivals.
Harry Swan’s mount made all the running and was pushed out to assert inside the final furlong to beat Coyote Spirit by three and a half lengths. Jolie Folie was a further nine and a half lengths away in third.
Elliott said, “He's a big galloper. He's better than that, they just didn't go much of a gallop. He will be a nice horse.
“He's probably more of a jumper than anything, more of a two and a-half miler, but we will take our time with him this year. He mightn't have to do a whole lot this year.”
The Cullentra trainer was also on the mark at Navan with Magic Boum (10/1), The Yellow Clay (4/11) and Sa Fureur (9/4) who were all ridden by Sam Ewing for Bective Stud.
