Ronan Whelan had a night to remember at Dundalk when Sendmylovetoyou brought up a four-timer for the jockey and also a treble for trainer Michael Halford in the six furlong handicap.
The Invincible Spirit filly won on her debut at the Curragh in August last year and was visiting the winners enclosure for the first time since.
Whelan got a nice run up the inner on the 7/1 shot as she came to lead inside the final furlong, prevailing by three-parts-of-a-length over Inflection Point
“She's a filly that we always thought was better than her bare form so it was nice to win again with her,” said Halford.
“The last night things just didn't unfold for her. She had run a cracker previously in the listed race.
“That's her ideal trip and I'm delighted for her owner Michael Enright who bred her as well. He's been an owner with us for a long time and has been very loyal and patient.
“He'll get a great kick out of that. She's got a great page. We might keep going with her next spring and I'd say the idea might be to cover her.
“She has relatively mileage on her so is a filly that could keep going.
“The way she ran here in the Listed race we might try and get some black-type.”
