The BoyleSports This Is Betting (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race saw 1/9 favourite Slige Dala win to give Joseph O’Brien his fourth winner of the afternoon across the two Irish meetings.
Group 2 winner Pretty Gorgeous and Mighty Blue scored for the Piltown handler at the Curragh, and the Sholokhov gelding gave O’Brien a quick Killarney double as well after Mortal had landed the feature handicap chase.
Slige Dala, a winner on his third start at the Galway Festival last month, made all but had to work for victory as newcomer Champagne Rhythm (20/1) threw down a challenge in the straight. The winner ultimately stayed on well to score by three and a quarter lengths.
Winning rider Tom Hamilton said: "He is a lovely horse and is quite straightforward but I had to make my own running and he had a little look in front and got lonely.
"He'll be a lovely horse in time, whatever he does now is a bonus and will make a lovely chaser."
