Footy holds-on for deserved success
Footy Facts put up an exhibition of hurdling from the front when holding on by a short-head from Rigour Back Bob in the Racing Home For Easter Festival Hurdle.
Philip Enright was completing a double on the ten-year-old having earlier scored on Jerry's Agent For Footy Facts, it was a case of one place better twelve months on, having chased home Serpentaria here a year ago. American Job and Rigour Back Bob chased the pace-setter from before the straight but it was soon apparent that the latter was the big contender. He missed the second last but stayed on well on the run-in, unfortunately for him he was still the minimum margin adrift at the line.
Winning trainer, Robert Tyner said: "It was close! He did it well and he is entered in Thurles on Thursday in the two mile six furlong hurdle that Black Harry is in. He probably won't go there though and is more likely to go to Fairyhouse."
