Followmeuptocarlow clears the last at Fairyhouse

The Tom Donohue-owned and trained Followmeuptocarlow has given his connections, including his amateur rider, Richie Deegan, some good days and the ten-year-old hit a career high when convincingly winning the www.fairyhouse.ie Handicap Hurdle.
The huge-field 81-123 event looked a nightmare for punters to solve beforehand but the victorious Tiraaz gelding put his stamp on the three-miler in no uncertain terms.
Deegan let the 16/1 shot assume command going well two out and there soon wasn't much doubt about the outcome as the pair crossed the line two and a quarter lengths to the good from Los Amigos
Donohue was understandably a happy man in the aftermath saying: "We thought he'd run well. I'm delighted, it's nice to get it and it'll pay a few bills.
"We always knew he was going to stay and he was in brilliant form.
"We're thinking about going chasing with him." (GC & EM)
