No Say Ever (13/2 into 4/1) brought up a Gowran double for Shane Foley in the finale, the MansionBet Maiden.

Unfortunately Cheltenham festival winner Tully East on his return off a 500 day break, had to be pulled up sharply having gone wrong at the end of the back straight.

Foley’s earlier winner was aboard Maud Gonne Spirit for his boss, Jessica Harrington, and here the leading rider was on No Say Ever for Amanda Mooney.

With handicap experience the 76-rated four-year-old chased the leaders and he was fourth at the halfway stage.

Ridden to lead two furlongs out No Say Ever kept on well inside the final furlong to beat Arcadian Sunrise and Rasiym by a length and a half and a length and a quarter.

There was a steward’s enquiry involving the placed horses but there was no alteration to the judge’s placings.

“I’ve ridden him in work and liked him. For a No Nay Never he saw out the trip well and handled the ground,” said Foley.

“He can be a bit tricky and settling him is the important thing.”

The first winner on the programme, Duke Of Mantua is also by No Nay Never.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Arcadian Sunrise, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, placed second, Nibblers Charm ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed fourth and Rasiym (FR), ridden by C.T. Keane, placed third, where it appeared interference may have occurred.

Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.

Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.
