Foildearg thwarts Twice in bumper
Foildearg looked a promising type when making a winning debut in the concluding bumper at Roscommon.
Gillian Ryan let her father John's charge hit the front before the halfway point and the 25/1 shot found plenty when challenged down the straight.
11/10 favourite Best Think Twice tried hard to get past the filly on the run for home but couldn't master his rival, going down by half a length.
There was drama early in the straight as Katie Walsh was unshipped when Kastani Beach dived left. Walsh was none-the-worse for the fall.
Trainer John Ryan led the winning daughter of Mull Of Kintyre away after the victory.
