Whilst lady luck had something to do with his two earlier winners, Cheltenham Festival winning jockey Mikey Fogarty needed no such intervention from above when bringing up a 263/1 treble (his first) at his local track on Mister Hotelier in the Micheal O'Murchadha Memorial Rated Hurdle at Wexford.
Fogarty added to his earlier gains on the Paul Nolan handled pair, Sardinia and The Mooch delivering Mister Hotelier with perfect timing to bring up an across the card double for Colm Murphy. He was on the mark at Down Royal with Express Du Berlais
Colm Murphy (79/1 double) said: "Mikey gave him a peach of a ride, he won the race. I could only half see it because I got my eyes lasered last week. It is nice that the horses are coming back into form, and he will mix it between fences and hurdles."
Fogarty reflected on his treble by saying: "It is unreal, and it is great to do it in my hometown as well." (DM & EM)
