Fogarty gets the Credit for Letter's win
Letter Of Credit got his reward for some consistent efforts when landing the GGL Security 24/7 Alarm Flat Race under Mickey Fogarty at Limerick.
It was left to 4/6 favourite Allee Garde and Letter Of Credit to fight it out from the two furlong pole and the latter proved strongest inside the final furlong to prevail by two lengths.
Winning trainer Gerry Lynch handles the Bob Back gelding for the Galway based No Credit Syndicate and he said: "Tactics are important. It wasn't Robbie's (McNamara) fault when he got beat in Punchestown as the race just worked out that way (finished a nearest at the finish third there).
"We rode him prominent last time and we were going to do the same again but Mikey said he was going to drop in. He'll have a couple of weeks off now and probably go hurdling then. He'll be better on better ground too."
It was a welcome winner for Lynch, his first on the track since Covie Lad won at Roscommon in July 2008.
