Flowers Of Spring blooms in the last
Flowers Of Spring delighted trainer Andrew Oliver with her success in Leopardstown’s concluding one mile four furlong handicap, the last flat race on grass in Ireland this year. The three-year-old daughter of Celtic Swing took the race by three parts of a length at 10/1 from 3/1 favourite Nebula Storm
Oliver said: “I’m delighted with her. She got a hefty rise for winning at Navan. She ran competitively next time out even with the rise so I was expecting a big run today.
“Chris (Hayes) gave her a great ride. We hope to progress with her next year."
Flowers Of Spring was nibbled at in the betting ring from 12/1 to 10/1. Nebula Storm went off the uneasy 3/1 favourite as punters got stuck into Kevin Prendergast's Saajidah from 5/1 to 7/2. She finished half a length back in third.
