- Flood's charge In Great Form

Flood's charge In Great Form
In Great Form was the second aptly named winner of the day at Fairyhouse as he ran out an easy winner of the handicap chase.
Francis Flood's charge was following up a success at the course just over a fortnight ago.
Mark Walsh cruised into contention on his mount turning for home and hit the front two from home.
He skipped clear of his field before the final fence and could afford to ease down on the run-in for a cosy two-and-a-half length success over Andrea's Answer
"It's good to win and he seems to have improved from the last day," said Francis Flood junior afterwards.
"He jumped better today. We'll speak to Frank Berry and see what road he wants to go but I think he'll probably go for another three-mile handicap somewhere.
"The further he went the better he went and I was impressed with him today."
The winner was sent off 5/1 second choice after being supported from 7/1. 4/1 favourite Jim Bowie was pulled up at the second last and was lame post race.
Andrew McNamara reported that The Book Thief (pulled up) never travelled while More Chimney's (pulled up) scoped dirty.
