The Alan Fleming/Barry Connell alliance is performing to a hugely impressive 36% win-rate this season and the pair registered their 19th win of the campaign as Blue Hell landed the Grade B FKM Group Supporting Temple Street Hospital Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse today.
Blue Hell was ridden to his comfortable win by Adrian Heskin, steering his 23rd win of the campaign, and following the success Fleming, who was recording his eighth win in November, stated “he'd a couple of bad scopes last winter, and was not getting home in his races. We're training him out of the paddock now and it's working well.
"He'll stay handicapping at Christmas, and looks a nice horse for something like the County Hurdle."
Winning owner Barry Connell added "he has loads of pace and finally put it all together today and it's nice to win a good pot (E30,000 to the winner)."
