Flemensford benefits from Seabass fall
Flemensford was gifted the handicap chase at Navan when 5/4 favourite Seabass crashed out at the last.
He looked set to play second fiddle until inheriting the lead at the final fence and going on for a ten-length victory over Westmeath Bachelor
"He was a lucky winner but it's nice to get one now and then. I can't remember the last time I got a lucky winner," said trainer Eric McNamara.
"They went very fast and Mark (Walsh) said he was in trouble at halfway as he was struggling to keep up.
"The horse stays three miles though and it was a combination of them going too fast and stopping in front."
