Flat overcomes last flight peck
Flat Out justified his star status on Sligo's opening card of the season, the 1/5 shot comfortably overcoming a peck at the last to account for Mick The Tooth by two and a half lengths.
The victorious grey, made all and hurdled enthusiastically on his way to beating Mick The Tooth who was having his second start in the J P McManus silks. Outsider That's Our Luck ran a big race to fill the third spot, seven lengths adrift of the principals.
Winning rider, Emmet Mullins said: "He jumped well in the main, he just got in a bit tight to the last."
Trainer Willie Mullins, who featured in the May edition of VIP magazine, wasn't in attendance.
