Flanagan records double
Sean Flanagan recorded a double this afternoon when winning The Baileys Outshine Handicap Hurdle aboard the Michael Cunningham trained Sharekan for owners the Canal Racing Syndicate.
Flanagan raced the Sinndar gelding in mid-division, took closer order halfway, led from 4f out, clear approaching straight and kept on well to win by an easy 13 lengths.
Flanagan's earlier winner came with Diaconescu winning the opening race on this afternoon's card.
Flanagan is part of the team heading to Australia in mid August along with Niall Madden, Robbie Colgan and Andrew Lynch. The team have been invited by South Australian Jockey Club to take part in the jockey challenge.
