Ben Coen recently returned from a spell race-riding in Australia and Dubai and today partnered his first Irish winner since November, landing Dundalk's Book Online @DundalkStadium.com Maiden on Take Heart
The gelded son of Dark Angel returned a heavily supported 4/9 favourite and in the mile race, beat Initial Attempt by two and a half lengths.
Coen, who partnered one Australian winner on his travels, said "he had a good first run and Johnny (Murtagh, winning trainer) thought he came on from it.
“It was a little bit messy early - some wanted to go forward, then we went slow and I got caught three wide although I had cover. He picked up well and I think 1m2f would be no problem as he hit the line good and strong.
"He's a fine big horse, Johnny's usually keep improving and he's going in the right direction."
“I got on well on Australia and Dubai and enjoyed it. It is a bit colder here."
