Mullacash Buzz (9/1) continues to stretch his winning handicap marks and notched a fifth success today, landing Dundalk's Crowne Plaza Dundalk Race & Stay Handicap for trainer Tom Dowling and jockey Jack Cleary.
Successful in the past two years with ratings of 46, 47, 55 and 61, the five year old today made all, with his 63 mark, to score by three parts of a length from Storm Eric
Trainer Dowling was on lead up duty and jockey Cleary said "Tom filled me with confidence, said he was in great form but it was a pity about the draw. He really showed the ability he has, even from stall 17.
"He's very consistent, always breaks well and once you take a pull, he'll do his job from there. Even going up to the line there, he had his ears pricked and had plenty left. He'd have been a bit better with a bit of company but got it done in the end."
