Embattled trainer Philip Fenton received a boost at Limerick today when his Ange D'Or Javilex landed the opening Martinstown Opportunity Maiden Hurdle.
Ridden by Luke Dempsey, the son of Puit D'Or jumped left at the final flight but stayed on well for a five lengths win over Nimdani
Fenton, who awaits a hearing with the Turf Club on November 22 following his conviction for possession of anabolic steroids, later stated “that was grand and he jumped well.
“We fancied him in three bumpers but came unstuck each time but was very good to win first time over hurdles today and looks a nice horse.”
