The Paddy Rooney trained Witness Of Fashion registered his second career win when landing the Adam & Ann Armstrong Memorial Handicap Chase at Down Royal today,
The rising ten year old stretched clear, under Conor Maxwell, of his rivals in the closing stages for a 12 lengths win over Cinder Rua
Rooney's previous winner came with Witness Of Fashion in 2014, who himself bridged an 11 year gap to the trainer's initial winner in July 2003, with Roscommon winner Captain Mike, and following today's win he stated “he jumped well and while he didn't click last year, he's back this year.
"He likes it deep and lose and he got the conditions he wants.
"He could go to Fairyhouse for a race he won two years ago and we'll keep him in his own class."
