Father and son combination win at Galway
Glenquin Castle landed the John Mulholland Bookmakers handicap hurdle for the McNamara family.
Trained by father Andrew and ridden by his son of the same name Glenquin Castle, a former bumper winner at the track, made virtually all the running to score by a comfortable 5 lengths.
'We really fancied him. Staying is his game and all being well he will re-appear at Cork on Sunday for a Grade 3 hurdle over 3 miles,' said the winning trainer.
