Farmleigh follows up
The Willie Martin trained Farmleigh House followed up a course and distance win last month when following up in the Dundalkstadium.com Handicap at Dundalk this evening.
The son of Medecis was made work all the way to the line and eventually held the challenge of Tsar Paul by a short head.
A Stewards Enquiry was subsequently called into interference involving winning jockey’s Niall McCullagh’s accidental striking of third placed Thats A Fret with his whip inside the furlong. The result was left unchanged but McCullagh did receive a caution from the Stewards for the incident.
Before the enquiry, McCullagh mentioned “Farmleigh House just baulked a bit in front when the second came at him fast and he didn’t see him but just held on.”
