Fantasy the Dundalk king

Fri 25th Nov 2011, 19:37

Fantasy King overcame an unlucky run at the venue 49 days ago when landing the Winter Racing At Dundalk Handicap at Dundalk this evening for trainer Charles O’Brien and Champion Jockey Johnny Murtagh.

O’Brien was absent but was represented by Gerry Abbott who later stated “Fantasy King was terribly unlucky last time out. Fran (Berry) just couldn’t get him out in time and there was nothing he could do.

“He was a worthy winner tonight – Johnny (Murtagh) wanted to hold onto him for as long as possible and he gave him a good ride. Fantasy King might go hurdling now.”
