Fallon's dog qualifies for Champion Stakes Final
Uncle Eoin, part owned by Kieran Fallon, was an impressive winner of the third semi-final of the Townview Foods.com Irish Champion Stakes at Shelbourne Park last night.
Fallon who rides Seta in the Group 3, Kilboy Estate Stakes today at the Curragh, is a well known greyhound enthusiast and could be in line for a big pot next weekend.
Just the first two home in each of the three semi-finals qualified for the final, with Fallon's dog, by far the most impressive winner coming home seven lengths clear of the second.
At 7/1, he was the outsider of the field but he certainly won't be that price for the final next Saturday night after winning in a time of 29.93.
Razldazl Jayfkay, who finished fifth in the English Derby Final recently, was the fastest qualifier, winning his semi-final in a time of 29.90 and his is sure to go off favourite for the final.
Uncle Eoin was second in the Red Mills Produce Stakes Final at Clonmel in May when sent off the 7/4 favourite and Fallon will be hoping his dog can go one better next weekend.
