History Of Fashion bounced back to form to spring a 40/1 shock in the Eventco Marquees Handicap Chase at Down Royal.
The Pat Fahy-trained gelding had pulled up on his last two outings and was the outsider of the field in the three-mile contest.
Harry Sexton bounced out and made the early running on the Mustameet gelding but he was headed at halfway by the free-running Valsorpresa
He joined that rival three from home and was driven to lead after the next, staying on well on the run-in to record a two-length win over Potters Party
Fahy said: "He won around here (January 2022) and he ran well enough the last time (January) when he got stopped at the fence past the stand when the other horse made a mistake in front of him.
"He was second in the Porterstown (last December). If he comes up enough, he will go to the Porterstown, absolutely.
"He ran well in the Irish National (fifth).
"He won't go a yard on tacky ground.
"When you have only a few of them, you need things to go right and sure the ground was right up here.
"When things go right for him, he would go another mile. He's only getting going."
