Fahy confident of top Tongie performance

Trainer Pat Fahy is hopeful Tongie can get back on the winning trail in the Money Back On Cheltenham Fallers At Coral.ie Rated Novice Hurdle at Limerick this afternoon.
Since getting off the mark over the course and distance back in November, the six-year-old has endured mixed fortunes, running well on a couple of occasions but also disappointing twice.
He was unsurprisingly no match for Supreme Novices' Hurdle favourite Min on his penultimate start at Punchestown, but fared better when runner-up in a Gowran handicap last month, and Fahy is confident about his chances this weekend.
He said: "He's in great form and I'd be disappointed if he's not in the firing line. I'd be disappointed if he doesn't win, to be honest.
"He ran a good race in Leopardstown over Christmas and then didn't fire at all in Punchestown.
"We gave him a little break and he ran a good race in Gowran and we've been happy with him since.
"It's a very even race on the ratings, but he's in the form of his life and I'm expecting a big run."
Tongie faces just five rivals, with The Mulcare Rover the highest-rated runner, making his first appearance for trainer John Walsh since finishing third behind Bachasson at Galway last September.
Sligo bumper winner Miss Me Now should take all the beating on her jumping debut in the Best Price Guaranteed On All Irish Racing At Coral.ie Mares Maiden Hurdle, a comment which also applies to Double Scores in the Mullins Magic Free Bet Offer At Coral.ie (C & G) Maiden Hurdle.
Perhaps the most interesting contest of the afternoon is the concluding bumper, in which the Willie Mullins-trained Augustin meets three other previous winners in Articulum Showem Silver and Goaheadmakemyday
