Fahy Father/Son take last
Father and son combination of Pat and Conor Fahy made a welcome return to the winner’s enclosure when The Grey Express took the concluding Master Catering (Pro/Am) at Ballinrobe this evening.
Fahy sent the King’s Theatre filly to the front over a furlong out and kept on well to hold off the fast finishing Esporao by half a length.
Winning trainer Pat Fahy said afterwards: “That’s my sons [Conor Fahy] third win.”
“We ran her on heavy ground and it didn’t suit her so we gave her a break and sent her back to her owner James Coen.”
“She really appreciates the better ground, Kings Theatres generally do. It’s the third Kings Theatre that James [Coen] has had with me and they have all won.”
