Farfromnowhere (9/4jf) maintained her unbeaten record with a third career win in Limerick's McMahons Builders Providers Mares Maiden Hurdle today, continuing the good start to the new season by her trainer Paul Nolan.
The six-year-old Shirocco-mare landed a four-runner point-to-point on debut last October by 45 lengths and having also won a Wexford bumper last month, today followed up with an easy success under Sean O'Keeffe, beating Disco Dancer by 4.5 lengths.
Nolan, with his eighth winner of the season, reported “she is a good mare to have and we bought her after winning her point-to-point for Colin Bowe and she came recommended by Barry O'Neill.
“Sean (O'Keeffe) said she was keen early-on and only gave herself a chance to settle between the last two hurdles. I loved the way she went to the line and hopefully she'll now go on to better things.
“We waited for better ground for her bumper and while I'm not saying she won't handle softer ground, Bowe said not to run on winter ground. She had good limbs on her and we'll make a plan now and see where we go.”
