Expensive purchase Ezalli wins her maiden
Cape Cross filly Ezalli who cost 125,000 euro as a yearling, made an impressive debut in the Irish Pony Club Maiden over one mile two furlongs at the Curragh to give jockey Wayne Lordan a double for the day.
She was the subject of support in the betting offices in the morning which saw her price contract from 14/1 to 8/1, however, Eddie Lynam's filly went off at an SP of 12/1.
She had three-and-a-half lengths in hand over joint favourite Eighteen Summers Ancient Kingdom the other joint favourite, finished back in 13th place.
