Business (5/1) is certainly showing an aptitude for seven furlongs around Dundalk as he won for the second time on the polytrack.
The four-year-old Siyouni gelding switched from John Quinn in Britain to Gordon Elliott and began his Irish career with a fourth place on the sand at Laytown. Since then, a maiden and a handicap have been landed in Dundalk.
Sam Ewing 's mount tracked Designer Cailin in second at the halfway stage and the pair hit the front a furlong and a half out.
They were soon strongly pressed by 3/1 favourite Acquiescent The pair battled away deep into the final furlong but it was Business who found that bit more to win by half a length. Zahee made good late headway on the inner to come home third at 33/1, beaten a length by the winner.
Ewing said: “He’s a grand horse and handles the surface well. He relaxes well with the hood and is very straightforward and genuine.
“I was probably in front a bit long but he stuck his head out to the line. He’s very game.”
Ewing has his first three rides over jumps in Navan tomorrow.
