Named after a Mathematical genius and the first Professor of Mathematics at University College Cork, George Boole was well tipped up for the Christmas Party Packages At Dundalk Stadium Nursery Handicap (Plus 10 Race) and he delivered under Declan McDonogh.
Top-weight in this seven furlong heat, Fox Dream certainly made the winning 3/1 favourite work for it.
However the Art Connoisseur colt, home-bred by winning trainer John Murphy at Highfort Stud, got the best of it in the final couple of hundred yards for a one length success.
McDonogh said: "That was good compensation for the last day, and the step up in trip helped. He's a fine big horse and is improving. He'll be a nice horse next year.
"He's still only learning and it took a while for the penny to drop. I liked him, and he has a grand temperament."
R.P. Cleary, rider of Ebbageena trained by Damian Joseph English, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung in the straight.
