Enright at his best on Special Tiara
Special Tiara has too much for Plan A at Ballinrobe

Phillip Enright certainly earned his riding fee when staying on board Special Tiara and subsequently guiding the gelding home in the beginners’ chase at Ballinrobe.
It looked like Enright would part company with his mount when Special Tiara (9/2) met the third fence all wrong, but the jockey performed miracles to stay in the saddle and fix his irons.
After that blunder Special Tiara put in a good display of jumping and had plenty in the tank to repel staying on Plan A (10/3) after the last by a length. Bridgets Pet kept on well in the run-in for third at 4/1.
“He jumped brilliant apart from the mistake. It was a bad mistake alright but he never really lost momentum,” jockey Phillip Enright said.
“He recovered a couple of strides after and filled his lungs. He is an out and out two miler and he keeps galloping and jumps well.
“He sickens horses by going so fast. He would have won a lot easier but for the mistake.”
Punters who backed Special Tiara in from 12/1 in the morning can raise a glass to Enright this evening.
