Ennis is a little Daisy
Daisy Buchanan found the ground to her liking in the Garlow Cross Handicap when running out a three parts of a length win from La Mere Germaine for trainer Frank Ennis.
Willie Supple was hard at work on the daughter of Fasliyev from over two furlongs out but under a strong drive by Supple the pair got up in closing stages to deny La Mere Germaine.
A delighted Ennis said afterwards: “I’m delighted for the owner Julie White who is a manager in Giltown Stud it’s her first winner and she also bred the filly along with Dominic O’Neill.”
“She’s in again at Leopardstown on Monday and if she comes out of the race well she’ll go there if not we’ll put her away until next season. She loves this soft ground.”
