The seven runner INH Stallion Owners EBF Novice Hurdle proved to be a real bookmaker-benefit with, with victory going to 16/1 shot Elysian Rock for trainer Mouse Morris and jockey Martin Ferris. Rhyl Accord the 4/7 favourite, could only manage a well beaten third while 11/4 second favourite Thegreatjohnbrowne never figured and eventually pulled up.

Following Elysian Rock's win Morris reported “he was in better form today but wants better ground again to be seen at his best. He is a half-brother to Venalmar but I've no plans from here.”
