Gordon Elliott's rise up the training ranks reached another landmark as Myztique provided the Co. Meath handler with a century of National Hunt winners for the first time between Britain and Ireland this season when making a successful debut in the bumper at Fairyhouse. Ma Garrett appeared to have stolen a march on her rivals when quickening clear early in the straight.
However she could find no extra in the closing stages as Nina Carberry produced 5/1 chance Myztique to lead well inside the final furlong.
Patrick Mullins kept a wide line in search of better ground aboard Kate Appleby Shoes down the straight, and finished well to deny Ma Garrett the runner-up spot.
Elliott said, "This is a nice little mare. She's not bad and could be one for the bumper at Aintree. I was very worried about the tacky ground but she stayed going well."
He added, "That's great to get 100 winners for the season. It's nice to do it. I've had 100 before between jumps and flat but that's the first time I've had 100 national hunt. I've a nice bunch of horses and I'm pleased to do it.
"I suppose the highlight has been the two Grade 1's (Don Cossack & Clarcam) but hopefully the highlight is in front of us in six weeks time!"
