Elliott and Carberry's good run continues
Gordon Elliott who saddled six winners in Perth during the week was continuing his good run when Hamalka took the opening Glebe House Stud Maiden Hurdle at Bellewstown today.
The Alhaarth filly who benefited from a fine ride by Paul Carberry hit the front after the last and just held on for a narrow victory over Fleeting Moment and Andrew Thornton.
Winning trainer Elliott said afterwards: “It’s great for the owners who are locals from Bellewstown so it’s happy days for them.”
“I’m not sure where we’ll go next, we might give him a run on the flat.”
Gordon Elliott is now currently at the top of the trainers table after he recorded his fifteenth of the season.
